You and your baby's well-being our first and foremost priority. Whether you already have kids at home or your are expecting your first; we know how important and vital this "ME TIME" is. Our job is to help you savor every minute of it.
All clients will need to first fill out an Medical Intake Form, Consent Form and a specific Prenatal Massage Release Form prior to your first appointment. Your forms will be reviewed throughly in order to best meet your personal care and specific needs.
Upon arrival the therapist will briefly go over the forms and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
When receiving pregnancy massage, you are positioned on your side to give the therapist access to your back or in a semi-reclining position for massage on the front of your body. Your body will be supported with pillows or special cushions. You will be properly draped while the therapist is working, except for the area being massaged.
If at any time during the massage you experience discomfort, tell the therapist immediately.
* It is very important you obtain approval from your obstetrician before receiving any form of massage during
pregnancy.
Women with normal, low-risk pregnancies can benefit greatly from massage by a trained pregnancy massage therapist. However, women in high-risk pregnancies should consult with their doctor before beginning a massage therapy program. Under these circumstances the client must provide a doctors clearance before proceeding with massage therapy.

In order to provide the safest prenatal massage possible, it is critical the massage therapists is certified and understands the details and progression of the vast physical and emotional changes pregnant women undergo. A certified prenatal massage therapist will understand how these changes affect positioning options for her on the massage table, (for example, side lying reduces the added pressure you would have lying on your back) and how and when these options change as her pregnancy progresses. Trained therapist will know the safest techniques to use and will know which areas to avoid for your stage of pregnancy and condition.
